Norman Racine

Norman Racine is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Virtual IT Shop, LLC.  Under his technical leadership, the company provides a broad range of IT services – from helpdesk through strategic planning – in Southern California.

Mr. Racine has, on occasion, performed computer forensic analysis and e-discovery investigation for Jerry Wang, Receiver.  One such project required Mr. Racine to crack server, desktop, and database passwords, and recover deleted accounting data.  After the data recovery Mr. Wang was able to seize sizable bank accounts and company assets.  All of the foregoing tasks were performed while maintaining excellent chain of custody records.

Mr. Racine founded the very successful boutique IT services firm, Virtual IT Shop, in 2010.  The company continues to see steady growth as a result of a strong reputation and personal referrals.  Prior to founding his company, Mr. Racine was Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer of TelePacific Communications, a California based company that he helped grow from $40M to over $400M.  These are the most recent experiences in a career that has seen continuous progression in management and Information Technology.  Prior to his work at TelePacific, he worked as an Independent Consultant.  His contracts leveraged his considerable IT background and management skills in Europe, South America, and throughout North America.  He began his career at BCE (Bell Canada) in their Information Technology department in a variety of technical roles.  His last role was as Technical Advisor overseeing the Revenue Management System for the world’s first fully automated, electronic toll highway north of Toronto (Highway 407).  His strengths include his business acumen and M&A experience, a hands-on understanding of all aspects of information technology, extensive expertise in billing, and an ability to effectively manage business operations and Information Technology projects.
