Terry J. Peterson

 

Terry Peterson entered the real estate and property management profession in Northern California in 1974 with Transamerica Real Estate Management Co.  He received his Certified Property Manager® designation in 1977,  became a licensed California Real Estate Broker in 1985 and founded a property management company in 1988.  He has managed multi-family apartments, shopping centers, office buildings, mobile home parks and self storage facilities.  His association with Jerry Wang began in 1988, when Mr. Wang was an asset manager at Home Savings of America charged with the responsibility of liquidating a large portfolio of REO properties.

Mr. Peterson became a court fiduciary for the Superior Court of the State of California in 1991 and has served as a court-appointed receiver in the counties of San Francisco, Alameda, Santa Clara, Sacramento, San Mateo, Marin, Contra Costa, Sonoma, Napa, Solano, Butte and Fresno on nearly 100 cases.  Since 2007, he has been assisting Jerry Wang, Receiver in northern California with rents, issues and profits receiverships as well as inventory and liquidation, rehab and environmental receiverships.

Mr. Peterson graduated with a BA degree in Mathematics from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1966. Prior to entering the real estate profession, he served with the United States Air Force flying 300 combat missions as a pilot with the 604th Special Operations Squadron during the Vietnam War.  He was awarded the Distinguished Fly Cross, the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm and the Air Medal with 15 Oak Leaf Clusters for his achievements.
